Black British Ballet: Into the Light is a national touring exhibition hosted in Scunthorpe Central throughout October. Delivered by Dr Sandie Bourne, one of the driving forces behind the exhibition, this talk will present the rich and overlooked history of black British dancers from the 1940s to the present, and set the exhibition in context. It will be followed by a Question & Answer session. This is a free event, but please register interest at www.opac.northlincs.gov.uk/events (search 'ballet'). Tea and coffee will be available, but feel free to bring your own refreshments. Suitable for ages 11+.
The talk will start at 6pm, but the library space will be open from 5pm to allow viewing of the exhibition.
