Algorithm Avengers
Introduction
Come Join us for our in-person workshop titled Algorithm Avengers on Saturday, November 30th, 2024, for boys (ages 8 – 12 & 13-17).
Algorithm Avengers delve into the essence of artificial intelligence (AI) and its fundamental algorithms. Aimed at a young and curious audience, this program is designed to break down complex machine learning models and AI to show the algorithms working behind the scenes, making AI an important and accessible aspect of contemporary life. Through interactive activities and programming, participants transform into AI & Algorithm Avengers, ready to explore the ethical, practical, and technical aspects of AI technologies.
Materials Required
- Learning Resources : All necessary learning resources, including instructional materials, will be provided during the workshop.
Learning Outcomes Beginner Path
- Introduction to Programming with Scratch: Basic programming concepts using Scratch, focusing on syntax and simple programming tasks.
- Foundations of Artificial Intelligence (AI): An introduction to AI concepts, its connection with algorithms, and relatable everyday technology.
- Machine Learning Activity: Exploring the basics of training and applying their own simple machine learning models using Teachable Machine.
Advanced Path
- Advanced Programming Concepts: Building on basic skills to include data structures and more complex programming constructs.
- Long-term Machine Learning Project: Advanced learners will be challenged to work on a long-term machine learning project, applying their knowledge to create impactful AI models.
