Black Birders Week was founded under the group Black AF in STEM in 2020, due to the lack of representation of the Black community in the outdoor space.2026 Theme: “Flyways & Freedom: Advocacy, Action, and the Future”
This theme is about the journey toward liberation, the advocacy required to protect our shared environment, and the decisive action needed to build a future where everyone belongs.

Birdwatching Trail Walk | Saturday May 30 at 10 a.m. | Riverview Park
Join us for a guided walk along the trails in Riverview Park, on the Trout River. We will point out and identify local bird species, and teach beginners how to best observe birds in their natural habitat.
Bring your own binoculars, if you have them.
