This free public program is presented by the 2025 Summer Studios Artist, Marshall Bradley.
In this event, Marshall will be doing a live painting while capturing the essEnce of the celebration that Black culture provides from Aretha Franklin, Prince, James Brown to Tony Braxton, Solange, and more while also hearing words from Martin Luther King Jr. , Malcolm X, and Maya Angelou. This is to remember the Chitlin Circuit as it was made so Black entertainers can still showcase their art, also to celebrate the role that the Juke Joint play in the community Set up into three parts to capture three
PART ONE: Celebrate Voices of Freedom and Rebellion through House, Gospel, and upbeat Revolution.
PART TWO: Reflection coming back to self and looking back to who you are still celebrating in the sounds of R&B, Rap, and afro beats to connect back to roots that shape us.
PART THREE: Coming together to celebrate everything a mixture of slow and fast celebration from roots to the planted seeds.
