About this Event
March's cider club will be a showcase of the legendary 'Kingston Black' bittersharp cider apple.
A fun social event involving true real whole-juice ciders - but with a slight twist...
Different makers, different counties - the same apple.
We will be tasting, sharing and discussing a number of Kingston ciders from around the country to show how different techniques, approaches and intervention by the cider maker can produce a varied range of bouquets, tastes and mouthfeel all from a single variety of apple. We will discuss how geography and terroir can impact the apple - and therefore the cider.
What to expect: we are aiming to source 4 Kingston Black ciders from all compass points of the UK - North,East,South and West.
As usual there will be a selection of cheeses accompanied by those great baguettes made & baked by Spelt & Rye in Hucknall.
