About this Event
Bishopsgate Goodsyard is one of the most exciting redevelopment sites in London today. Bringing vitality to a former goods depot that has lain idle since 1964, the Goodsyard will deliver affordable workspace and offices along with a new public park and 500 new homes. The proposals also include 1,600 sq m of retail, plus a destination building for cultural space on Brick Lane and an exhibition space along the historic London Road beneath a new, elevated public park.
The plans see much of the site’s heritage retained, with the listed Braithwaite Viaduct arches to be opened up to the public and the Oriel Gate restored to become the ‘gateway’ entrance to the site from Shoreditch High Street.
In celebration of London Festival of Architecture, we invite you to join architect and heritage specialist Matthew Witts ‘behind the hoarding’ on a tour of the soon-to-be-reimagined Braithwaite arches.
