About Skylar of Deep Roots Doula Care

Skylar is a country livin' mother of two, postpartum doula, Innate Postpartum Care Provider and home birth advocate. After receiving a "high risk" label with her first pregnancy resulting in a traumatic induction of labor and birth, Skylar went on to birth her second child at home by reclaiming her own wisdom and confidence in her body and mind. Through this experience, Skylar discovered her own path towards healing from traumatic birth and the importance of making choices in pregnancy based on your own intuition, joy, and desires. She wants to empower other mothers who are curious about home birth to explore their options and find care based on their own values too.
