Birmingham Wheels Roller Speed Club host their second event of the 2025/26 Indoor Season on 22nd February 2026 at Tudor Grange Leisure Centre, Solihull, returning with the exciting new race format they pioneered back in the 2024/2025 season, the keirin. This is an excellent opportunity for skaters to practice the Dobbin Sprint in a competitive environment under pressure ahead of the 2026 British National Indoor Championships and the final chance to refine your race craft and gain racing experience before the big finale of the season. The Federation's electronic timing ensures live (provisional) results and times direct to your device, meaning you can follow the racing as it happens.
This event is suitable for new and experienced skaters alike, with skaters placed into categories according to their ability. For the very youngest skaters and those entirely new to the sport, there is a novice category. For those adult skaters who do not meet the speed requirements of the faster categories, but feel uncomfortable competing against children, Category 2A is the place for you. For the category races, skaters earn points according to their finishing position in each race. The winner gains 1 point, second place 2 points, and so forth. At the end of the race meeting the skater with the least points across the category races is the winner of their category.

Doors open at 11:15am, with the first race at 12pm.

Helmets are a mandatory requirement for all FISS affiliated events. As with any activity, there is a risk of injury therefore please wear suitable protective equipment according to your needs/ability.
Registration closes on 15th February 2026 at midnight. There will be no late or on the day registration with the exception of novice skaters, who we would encourage to enter online wherever possible.
