About this Event
Welcome to the Birmingham ICAT Conference! This event is open to Birmingham ICAT trainees and Specialty Leads, BHP postdoctoral fellows and Birmingham clinical research training fellows.
The programme will focus on our Birmingham clinical training pathways, including experiences and tips for addressing career transition challenges. Topics will include securing a CRTF following an ACF post, moving from a CRTF into a CL post, and obtaining a research-active role post CCT.
Moreover Dr Thomas Jackson, clinical lead of the College’s relaunched Fellowship Academy, will outline the career development and fellowship application support that you can benefit from.

- Associate Professor in Respiratory Medicine and Honorary Consultant in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine, Dr Rahul Mahida (Dr Rahul Mahida - Department of Inflammation and Ageing - University of Birmingham)
- NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer in Paediatric Hepatology, Dr Jake Mann.
