The weather is starting to cool down but that won’t stop the birds. It offers plenty of waterfowl and bush birds. Various honeyeaters are seen here, and hopefully, we’ll be able to great some good views of a few kingfishers and fairywrens. Either way, it will be a good time. Kangaroos often make an appearance in the picnic area. This walk is easy and flat with a mixture of sealed and unsealed paths.
At the end of the walk, we’ll have a quick BYO morning tea and go through the bird list.
🅿️ ParkRun is on this morning, so please aim to arrive around 6:30am as parking fills quickly. If the carpark is full, you’ll need to park along the roadside, a short walk away.
🚻 There are public toilets on-site at the picnic area close to the parking lot.
🎟️ To keep group numbers manageable and ensure insurance coverage, attendance requires a valid Heylo ticket (see link). Once registered you’ll receive the exact meeting location
