About this Event
Curious about birding? Now is your chance to try it! Join us on a bird walk where we will look and listen for local birds. We will also submit a list on eBird to help community science efforts and keep track of bird populations as they migrate through the Hudson area. No binoculars or experience required!
Bio:
Elora Agsten is a teaching librarian and researcher at the College of Wooster in Wooster, Ohio. Her work examines the intersection of community engagement and misinformation. Elora grew up on the shores of Lake Erie and has birdwatched her whole life. Her favorite bird is the acorn woodpecker, as they are an embodiment of living in supportive community together. Despite living in town in Wooster, Elora and her husband have attempted to fill their small backyard with trees and noninvasive plants. The effort is so far a success, and she sometimes gets black-throated green warblers outside her window in the spring.
