Learn tips on how to be a good bird host in your own back yard.
Cost: $10 per person Registration required.
Event Details:
8am: Meet at the Umptanum Creek Recreation Site on WA-821 South (South Canyon River Road) between milepost 16-17. Deborah Essman will meet you in the parking lot. Parking day passes can be purchased on site for $10 cash only.
What to bring/wear:
Bring water and binoculars if you have them. It is tick season so bring spray for boots and pant-legs.
It will be an exciting and educational hike, Deborah will point out several bird species, and you may see Big-horn sheep, Mule deer and maybe even Northern Pacific rattlesnakes.
11am: Canyon River Ranch for Birds of The Yakima Canyon presentation with Deborah. (The Ranch is a short drive south of the trailhead.
Learn about the birds that call the Yakima River Canyon home and how to be a good bird host in your own backyard.
