We will be exploring the trails of Barber Park. Barber Park is a county park on the east edge of Boise. The trails have been rebuilt so are largely smooth and wheelchair accessible. Part of the walk is not paved, but generally flat and graveled. We will check the river for waterfowl, herons, kingfishers, and bald eagles and the trees for songbirds and owls.
This field trip is for birders of all experience levels. Binoculars will be available if needed.
Participants younger than 12 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Participants younger than 18 must have a parent/guardian sign the liability release.
Time: 9am - 11am
We will meet in the main parking lot near the restrooms.
What to bring: Bring layers for weather, closed toe shoes, binoculars, and some water. No dogs please.
Restroom availability: Restrooms will be available.
Contact information: Contact trip leader, Brian Jensen, at [email protected] with any questions.
