Calling all nature lovers! Join POST and Santa Clara Valley Bird Alliance for Bilingual Birding: Aventureandos with Aves! The event will be hosted on Saturday, February 7, 2025, from 9:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., at Bair Island Wildlife Refuge in Redwood City. Enjoy a fun morning in nature guided by expert facilitators as you explore the beautiful trails and observe local bird species. Route: This easy one-mile walk with little to no elevation gain will highlight the wetlands and the wildlife that live within them, such as the Endangered Ridgeway rails, peregrine falcons, pelicans, egrets, terns, and stilts.
Important Notes:
Please do not bring pets except for service animals.
All minors must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
What to Bring:
Comfortable, closed-toe shoes
Water (we’ll also provide light snacks)
Sun and wind protection (hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, layers)
Binoculars (we have extras to share)
