The herons have established their rookery, or communal nests, high up in the trees above the Rouge River and have been a mainstay of the park for as long as we can remember.
Bring your binoculars and come ready to learn and see someting new! Don't worry if you don't have any binoculars, we will have some to share. All levels of knowledge and all ages are welcome!
Parking and location: Park in the Brennan Recreation Area parking lot and we will walk together to the heron rookery (short walk ~0.1-0.2 miles)
Accesiblility Notes:
We will be walking/standing on flat and paved sidewalk. This event is wheelchair accesible.
