Birding Day at Kensington Metropark
No experience needed. No agenda. Just a good walk with good people looking for great birds. Join us at Kensington Metropark as we explore some of the park's best birding areas in search of Orioles, Warblers, Flycatchers, Woodpeckers, Bald Eagles, Osprey, Kingfishers, Sandhill Cranes, and whatever else shows up. We'll bring the binoculars, spotting scopes, field guides, and birdseed.
There's even a gift for anyone new to birding. You bring snacks, water, and comfortable shoes — we'll handle the rest. All ages. All experience levels. Just people getting outside together.

Important Notes:
Location: West Boat Launch at Kensington Metropark (West of Wixom/Novi on I96)
The Metroparks entry cost $10 for one day or $40 for the year (per vehicle).
No pets are allowed in the area that we will be going so please leave your furry friends at home.
We will park and start at the West Boat Launch Parking Lot (it is .2 Miles south of the nature center.)
