The parks and neighborhoods of Bellingham offer birders a wide array of unique habitats to explore. Join other birders each month to explore a new birding hotspot within walking, biking, or bussing distance from downtown Bellingham. This month, we will be exploring Hoag’s Pond. Hoag’s Pond is a popular birding area along the Interurban Trail where birders can expect migratory and resident songbirds, as well as freshwater ducks and kingfishers in the pond. This area provides ample habitat for both songbirds and water birds. We will meet on April 13 at 9:00 am across from the Fairhaven Vet Hospital on 24th Street. For questions about the trip, contact .
