Come join the Mesilla Valley Audubon Society and bird walk leader Daniel Horton for our monthly bird walk at Leasburg Dam State Park. Meet your bird walk leader at the visitors center at 8:00AM on the last Saturday of each month (August-May). Birders of all ages, skill levels, and abilities are welcome!!!The walk follows the Rio Grande through the state park for approximately 1.5 miles, lasting 2 hours. The trail is mostly flat and easy to navigate. There is no fee to participate in the walk, other than the state park entry fee.
