BIPOC Outdoor Gear Library has once again partnered with ONE AXE Pursuits (Elora) to provide a day you’ll never forget!
🎉 BIPOC Intro to Ice Climbing 2025!!! 🎉
🧊 Exclusive day-access to a 60-ft beginner ice wall + short hike in Elora
🧊High-quality instruction with trained instructors + complimentary belay lesson
🧊 Full equipment rental, including crampons

This event is a safe(r) space for BIPOC community members. You are encouraged to show up exactly as you are, and we expect participants to support every effort to guarantee dignity, respect, and a feeling of belonging.
AUDIENCE: Open to Black, Indigenous, and Racialized adults (18+)
TRANSPORTATION AND MEALS: Participants are responsible for their travel to Elora and must bring a packed lunch, water and snacks.
ACCESS: The event is a 6-hour day at a moderate activity level; Adaptive crampon options are available. Due to the level of risk, If you have any relevant health concerns, please consult your healthcare provider at your discretion.
GEAR & APPAREL:
- Harnesses fit up to 52 inches
- Helmet circumference fits 19 to 24 inches
- The min. boot size is W4.5, and max boot size is M13.5 (you can bring your own boots or use ski boots if you are out of this range)

Generally - be sure to wear a light, warm base layer (wool or synthetic), a light synthetic mid-layer that will be breathable and dry quickly if damp, and finally a waterproof shell to contain warmth and repel moisture. Please let us know if you require further assistance with apparel.
REGISTRATION: Waivers must be signed at the event, including a photo/video release. Required Information upon registration includes height, weight, and boot size. Please let us know if you require support with access, apparel, transportation or meals.
