A lovely biodiversity tour in Rumney Marsh.
Join Nicole Werth and Sally Jacobson for a guided casual excursion observing the incredible biodiversity of Rumney Marsh. The tour will focus on the birds and plants that can be found in this urban park.
No expertise required / beginners welcome!
ⓘ Register & Commit Rule: ⚠ This is a “ticketed” event due to the limited number of guests allowed. This program is supported in part by a grant from the Saugus Cultural Council, a local agency which is supported by the Mass Cultural Council, a state agency. Thanks to their support, this event is offered for FREE to all participants.
◇ Meeting Location: The parking lot on Ballard Street across from Vitale Park.
◇ Date and time: May 22nd 10:00 AM (the walk will last approximately an hour and a half)
◇ What to Wear & Bring: Masks are mandatory. Although these will be slow-paced tours, please dress appropriately and consider wearing long pants (for the possibility of ticks, poison ivy etc.) and sturdy shoes. Bug spray is suggested due to the potential for mosquitos. Binoculars and/or a camera if you have them. Bring water. Also, know that there are no bathrooms at this location.
♡ We will have a few pairs of binoculars for participants to borrow for the walk.
