Take a deeper look into the exhibit “Encounters: Paintings and Prints by Natalie Deam and Caylin Jayde” currently on display at the Memorial Union Art Gallery. Both artists draw from personal encounters and observations between insects, wildlife, flora, and natural ecosystems—and the continuing impact of human interaction on these environments.Join Professors Dr. Adam Janke and Dr. Katherine Kral-O’Brien from ISU’s Department of Natural Resource Ecology and Management for a guided Gallery Walk on Thursday, October 2, at 7pm. Drawing connections between the artwork and their own research, they’ll highlight selected pieces that reflect themes of biodiversity, conservation, and sustainable living conditions.
Their insights will show how science and art can work together to deepen our understanding of the natural world.
The Art Gallery is on the first floor of the Memorial Union on the ISU campus, and paid parking is available in the ramp adjacent to the building.
