About this Event
The Biodiversity Collage comes to the University of Manchester!
Join a 3-hour, interactive workshop open to everyone in Manchester and the surrounding area — whether you work in business, study, are part of an NGO, or are simply curious about nature and sustainability.
Through a collaborative, game-based format, participants work in small groups to:
- Discover what biodiversity is and why it matters
- Explore how human activities affect ecosystems
- Understand how our economies, businesses and well-being depend on nature
- Discuss solutions and nature-positive actions at individual and collective levels
- Turn the collage into a shared visual story of challenges and hope
The workshop is science-based but highly accessible, drawing on research from leading organisations such as IPBES, IUCN, the French Biodiversity Agency and the French National Museum of Natural History.
No prior knowledge is needed.
This workshop is facilitated by trained volunteer facilitators aiming to make biodiversity science understandable and actionable for everyone.
Participation is free. .
