Lynchburg Parks & Recreation invites homeschool families and youth ages 10 and older to participate in a hands-on BioBlitz at Ivy Creek Park as part of the 2026 City Nature Challenge and the City’s ReviveLYH initiative.During this three-hour session, participants will explore local habitats, learn how to identify native plants and wildlife, and contribute real-time observations using the iNaturalist app. Staff will lead guided discussions on ecosystems, biodiversity, and the importance of restoring and protecting Lynchburg’s native landscape.
