The second ever Pool Nature Center BioBlitz will be happening all day on May 16th!What is a BioBlitz, you might ask? The goal of a BioBlitz is to catalogue as many as possible in a particular area, during a particular time. Our 2025 BioBlitz recorded over 750 observations, and over 450 species! Species we saw included trees, newts, fungi, flowers, frogs, lots of moths, ferns, birds and so much more! The BioBlitz will include a variety of expert guided explorations, walks, and some crawls, as we discover together all that lives around the Pool Nature Center! We’re excited to expand our understanding of our local wildlife, and hope you’ll join us!
