Enjoy a beautiful evening exploring the countryside around Ecclesmachan on a circular walk packed with scenery, local history & rewarding views. Starting in the charming village, we’ll make our way through the Scottish Agricultural College campus before climbing to the summit of Binny Craig, a distinctive local landmark offering breathtaking views across the Bathgate Hills to the Pentlands, Ochils and Lomond Hills beyond.
The return journey leads us through peaceful woodland beside Ecclesmachan Burn, where spring & early summer wildflowers carpet the banks & add colour to this tranquil route. A wonderful opportunity to enjoy good company, fresh air & some of West Lothian’s finest evening scenery.

The walk will be on a mixture of surfaced roads, good footpaths & grassy tracks which may be muddy after rain, so suitable footwear is recommended & also a walking pole if you use one for climbing up to the short steep slope to the summit of Binny Craig.
It is essential to book with the walk leader if you wish to attend this walk & advisable to book early as numbers are limited. Please advise at the time of booking if you wish to join the car share otherwise it will be assumed you are meeting us at the start of the walk.
