Bing in the New Year

Bing in the New Year is a free, outdoor, family-friendly New Year's Eve event in downtown Milwaukie that culminates with a 9 p.m. (East Coast midnight) "cherry drop" lowering, by crane, of a 7-foot, lighted Bing cherry. The Milwaukie Arts Committee organizes the event, in coordination with the Oregon Chinese Coalition. The third annual Bing in the New Year, presented by the brand new 1847 Food Park, will feature live music, Chinese cultural performances, food, beer and a vendor marketplace.
