Bindi Mwerre Anthurre Artists showcases the latest and finest artworks from the Bindi artists; from artists who are well-renowned and have painted at Bindi for over 20 years, and from others who are emerging. Bindi Mwerre Anthurre art portrays the essence, beauty and humour of Central Australia. Each artwork is a reflection of the life and surrounds of the region as seen, known and loved by the artists.
Bindi Mwerre Anthurre Artists studio has been operating since 2000 for First Nations artists living with disabilities. The studio provides a means for artist to pursue and nourish their artistic practices. The Mwerre Anthurre Artists are from communities across the Central Desert region – from Kaltukatjara (Docker River) to Yuendumu – yet most reside in Mparntwe (Alice Springs). Everyone at Bindi cannot wait to share their stories & enjoy an incredible day of sunshine, art, food, music & speeches!
