Witness Desert Mob come alive as thousands flock to the Araluen Arts Centre precinct for the buzzing Desert Mob Marketplace! ✨ The large art market offers attendees the opportunity to acquire works directly from the artists who created them. View and purchase paintings, ceramics, punu, weavings, sculptures, textiles, clothing, jewellery, homewares and more from Aboriginal-owned art centres across Central Australia.
Experience the richness and diversity of desert art at the Araluen Arts Centre Precinct with food stalls, workshops, performances, activations and more on offer.
This is a free event open to all the community.

• 10:30 AM – Sgraffito Ceramics Demonstration by Ernabella Arts at Central Craft (free)
• 11 AM - Yarrenyty Arltere Artists Soft Sculpture Workshop in the Araluen Arts Centre foyer (free)
• 11:30 AM - Hermannsburg Potters Ceramics Workshop at Central Craft (2-day event, ticketed)

The Marketplace is one of many events that makes up Desert Mob, one of the nation’s most significant Aboriginal art events. Desert Mob is an unmissable celebration of the art, stories, cultural connection and vitality of hundreds of artists from 35 Art Centres across central desert Country.
