Bim Jeam & the SadnessCurrently on an extended break from his R&B/blues project, the Kevin Conness Band, Conness puts on a different hat, paying homage to some of his newfound influences in the folk/country/blues department. While he’s always been a fan of music you can groove to - he also has a soft spot for old country, folk, and blues. Often playing solo or with minimal accompaniment, he offers an intimate, no frills detour into some of the best of American roots music as well as his own lesser known originals. He trades in the grooves and the electric guitar for an acoustic and an attempt to pull at your heart strings.
Tonight he'll be accompanied by a couple of Bend's favorite musicians - Joe Schulte on upright bass and Casey Willis on fiddle!
Larkspur Stand
Larkspur Stand, hailing from Central Oregon, exemplifies and amplifies country blues, folk, & bluegrass – holding traditions while experimenting with adjacent genres. Fronted by Jake Soto on guitar with his energetic original tunes, and charging the way with Garrett Miller (Skillethead), who adds co-frontman support on banjo with a cosmic country feel, clever song writing, and warm vocals – both guys always mixing in fun familiar tunes. Elegant rhythms provided by Patrick Bedard (Jess Ryan Band) on the light drum kit, and Bob Morris playing spoons and cajon (Bob’ll convince you all bands should have spoons). Through newly added collaborations with Mitch Gordon on telecaster, and Scott Kanavel (The Rumpeppers) on bass, this is a band to see and keep an eye on!
