Anybody want to ride their bicycle from the twin cities to Duluth? Let’s go! It’s about 170 miles from Minneapolis proper to the lift bridge. It’s real flat. Mostly bike path, but a couple stretches of road. Ideally it takes 13-16 hours (with a big stop at the Pine City Dairy Queen!)
Come on… do it!
Training for the DAMn? Want to see what you’re capable of? Just want to do something epic!? Then this is for you. You will see some of the most beautiful parts of the state along with plenty of monotonous farmland and roadway. This is a challenge of body and mind! You don’t need to be an athlete but you should probably get a few rides in before this one.
From bridge-to-bridge; we will start at the iconic Stone Arch bridge in Minneapolis and end at the equally iconic Aerial Lift bridge of Duluth, MN. FULLY SELF-SUPPORTED! You will never be too far from highway 35 so if you need to bail you’ll never be too far from civilization. Ride at your own risk, ride at your own pace. Be prepared for wind, shine, rain, hot, and cold.
We highly, HIGHLY recommend having a support crew (someone with a car) following / available to you for this ride. Last year we saw a lot of unexpected mechanical failures and injuries so it’s worth saying again: COME PREPARED AND RIDE AT YOUR OWN RISK.
100% paved surface, road or gravel bikes are ideal.
If you’ve done this ride before please share your experience here for those who are curious!
Here is the previous year’s route, official route for 2026 will be shared closer to ride time 🤘
