Join us for a scenic and supported bike ride from Stratford to TeWera, tracing the path of the historic railway line through scenic countryside and quiet backroads. Route Highlights:
- Ride the iconic Forgotten World Highway to Toko School – easy grade section
- Cruise peaceful country roads via Huiroa following the old railway line to TeWera Station from Huiroa – there is one climb on this route and some smaller undulations.
- Optional side trip to the historic Matau Tunnel — ride through or simply admire
At TeWera, relax and refuel with a picnic-style lunch in a tranquil setting.
After lunch, you and your bike will be transported back to Stratford.
Cost: $80 per person inclusive of:
- Transport back to Stratford
- Back-up support throughout the ride
- Delicious picnic lunch at TeWera – advise any diet requirements
Spaces are limited to 12 — secure your spot and ride the history!
If you have your own group, minimum 8 maximum 12, you can set your own dates
T&C’s: If the day is called off due to wet conditions you will receive a refund if there is not another suitable day for you to transfer to. Showers in the forecast will not stop this day going ahead – only very heavy rain.
