About this Event
Designed for complete beginners and those with rusty knowledge. Learn to maintain your bike throughout the year, and gain knowledge and confidence to keep it running smoothly.
No prior experience necessary and all stands, aprons, gloves and tools will be provided.
You are encouraged to bring your own bike and get hands on practise with our expert from Bike for Good.
In the session we will cover:
- Component identification
- Basic bike set-up
- Pre-ride safety check
- Use of maintenance products
- Removal and placement of wheels
- Removal of a tyre
- Puncture type identification
- Checking for puncture causes
- Using a puncture repair patch
- Replacing an inner tube
- Inflating a tyre
