About this Event
Bring the whole family on bikes and wheels for our fourth annual San Carlos Tour de Family Fun Ride and Bike Fair
FUN RIDE:
Gather in front of Central Middle School on Sunday, Feb 2*, 2025, between 9:30 AM to 9:45AM for the Fun Ride, which leaves promptly at 10 AM. Sheriffs on bikes will lead the group. The route is about 1 mile, and loops once around the block surrounding Central Middle School. Pace is easy and family-friendly -- riders should be able to ride safely in a group and stay on the right side of the street, as the streets are open as usual to vehicle traffic.
*Rain date is the following Sunday, Feb 9, 2025, same time, place and details. Registrants will be notified by email if the date changes, so please register!
BIKE FAIR:
The bike fair begins when the riders are back at Central Middle School, ~ 10:30 AM. There will be stations on bicycle maintenance, safe riding, e-bike safety, bike fit adjustments and free bike repair, as well as an obstacle course with ramps, and a space for new riders to learn and practice.
Free bike safety giveaways like spoke reflectors, lights, bells and mirrors will be available and mechanics available to help install them.
We’ll have free donuts and prizes for learning and practicing, as well as coffee and (possibly) empanadas available from Papachay Coffee for purchase.
Details:
The event is free thanks to sponsorship by Community Foundation of San Carlos and San Carlos Parks and Rec Foundation. The event is intended for all ages, with something for all. Please register in advance, which includes signing a waiver.
