About this Event
Do you have a bike that needs to be tuned-up to get it ready for summer? Or do you need a bicycle?
Heart Comonos, in collaboration with Peel Multicultural Council and many local organizations are hosting our fourth annual Bike Day!
Here's how it works:
If you need a bike, we will be hosting raffles on bike day. Bike donations will not be accepted on the day-of.
Register here on eventbrite for the 'Bike Giveaway' category to let us know you're coming. Note: this does NOT enter you in raffles, it just helps us plan for the number of attendees we can expect. When you show up at the event and check in with registration, you will get one ticket per person.
When you come to the event on July 11, you will have the chance to enter bike give-away raffles where you might win a gently-used or refurbished bicycle (adult, youth and child sizes available). One bike per person. There is a special category for new-comers to Canada where 15 bikes (kids + adult size) will be given away. You must bring your proof of PR to be eligible.
Come early to enter the raffles and stay for other giveaways, refreshments and family fun with the Cooksville Community!
If you need your bike tuned-up, we will have tools and bike mechanics on site.
Register here on eventbrite for the 'Bike Fixup' category to let us know you're coming. Note: this does NOT secure an appointment to have your bike tuned up, it just helps us plan for the number of attendees we can expect.
Bike fix-ups are on a first-come, first-serve basis so come early with your bicycle to meet with one of our experts. If they can help you with the fix or tune-up, they will, for FREE!
What else is happening on Bike Day?
Meet your community: You can meet with other bike enthusiasts and local organizations to learn more about cycling in the community/City.
Bike Rodeo: Come learn how to signal and bike safely with the City of Mississauga.
Meet with local firefighters and tour a firetruck! (for a limited time only).
Surveys to support our knowledge of biking in the community.
And more: light refreshments, activities for children, and more!
