About this Event
Join educators from Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) for a tour of the naturalized spaces of Biidaasige Park. Located along the banks of the Don River, and situated on the brand-new island of Ookwemin Minising, Biidaasige is one of the most ambitious park projects in North America. While exploring waterfront trails and immersive natural areas, participants will discover the local plants and animals that thrive in and around the newly naturalized mouth of the river. TRCA educators will engage participants with the amazing story of the Port Lands Flood Protection Project and how this undertaking represents a powerful step toward a greener, more resilient city.
