GOT STUFF? RED BARN RUMMAGE SALE #31 SET FOR APRIL 26TH Martha Kummerer, Red Barn Rummage Sale Chair
Got too much stuff? Clear it out and help South Bend-Elkhart Bird Alliance raise funds. Our sale this year is Saturday, April 26th, as always at the Big Red Barn at St. Patrick’s County Park on Laurel Road north of South Bend. Our sale hours are 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. but come early – some shoppers last year were very disappointed to come later and find stocks seriously depleted.
We will be accepting donations on Wednesday, April 23rd from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; on Thursday, April 24th from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.; and on Friday, April 25th from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Note the earlier cutoff time on Friday; we must stop earlier to finish pricing everything before closing. Donations include just about everything in clean and usable condition. Donations can also be in the form of pastries and desserts for our terrific bake sale managed by veteran Alice Bentley.
Volunteers are needed in many different areas, from unloading cars to moving items to the appropriate tables to adding up purchases on sale day. A summary booklet is available detailing everything I could think of including volunteer descriptions, policies and rules, types of donations accepted, bake sale details, and cleanup.
