We are so excited to welcome Carter Hamric to Fantasy Island Toys on Saturday, March 21 during the Fairhope Arts & Crafts Festival!Carter is a dad, songwriter, and the creative heart behind the Big Ole Day series. What began as a simple ukulele song after his son’s first beach trip turned into a beautiful family brand built around music, storytelling, and memory-making. With the help of talented illustrator Olivia Vanderhagen, that first song became Big Ole Day at the Beach — and the adventure has only grown from there.
Now with three books published, thousands of copies sold, and placement in over 125 stores nationwide, Carter travels from his home base in Nashville sharing Big Ole Days through school visits, bookstore events, and high-energy sing-a-read-alongs.
And y’all — he’ll be singing and signing books right here in our store during Arts & Crafts weekend. 🎶📚 Kids can dance, sing along, and then take home a signed copy to remember the day.
