Yoga helps little ones tune into their breath and calm their minds and bodies. These tools are so valuable for learning to regulate our nervous systems at a very young age. We experience all of life through our nervous system and should be able to move fluidly from sympathetic to parasympathetic appropriately depending on the situation we are in. The world is becoming an even bigger and more complex landscape to navigate, and our future depends on the mental wellness of our little ones. Join Jana and her little helper Emerson for an afternoon designed to keep every child happy and engaged. Each class is simple and decision centered to build confidence. We'll incorporate games, stories, movement, and breath/meditation curated for the young mind.
Jana has been practicing yoga for 15 years and teaching regularly for 10 years. She is a mother of 3 boys, a 200hr ERYT (Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher, having taught over 1,000 hours) a YACEP (Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider) and a CYT (Children’s Yoga Teacher).
Designed for ages 3.5-12 however, parents can use their discretion when signing up. Parents are required to be present in the studio for the duration of the class. You are welcome to set up around the perimeter of the room with a book, watch, or have the freedom to let your mind wander! Parents are also welcome to bring a mat and join their little one at no additional cost!
