About this Event
Pro Grant 2026: Big Feelings, Busy Homes -- Helping Kids Regulate in Real Life
We are pleased to welcome Pyschotherapist and Founder of Life & Family Counselling, Dr. Mary Marano, to St. Stephen for a parent engagement evening focused on navigating everyday emotional challenges with school-aged children.
Areas of exploration will include:
• What anxiety actually looks like in children, and why it often shows up as behaviour rather than words
• Why many kids hold it together all day at school and then fall apart at home
• How children “borrow” our calm when they’re overwhelmed and what happens when we’re stressed too
• The very normal urge parents have to fix, reassure, or shut things down and what tends to help more
• How to support kids through friendship ups and downs without rushing in to solve everything
• Simple, realistic ways parents can help kids regulate emotions in the middle of real life (mornings, homework, bedtime, transitions)
Limited tickets available. Reserve your spot today.
