Workshop in Slovenia BIG COILED SCULPTURES WITH ELEMENTS OF WILD CLAYS AND GEOLOGY

CONTENT:
1. Coil-Building Big Sculptures by Swedish sculptor Tina Tombrok
Tina will guide you thru the process with her classical knowledge of proportions of a figural form and a progressive no armature coiling technique.
Each of the students will design a unique big sculpture figural form. It could be a person or an animal.
You will receive personal guidance throughout the process where we will address important details and problem-solving methods that may arise during the work on a sculpture.
You will receive knowledge of classical proportional systems of sculpture design and receive a handmade golden ratio compass.
The goal is to give you the knowledge and skill to independently design and make your own work.
Techniques and principles learned in this workshop can be applied not only to large-scale sculptural work but any work or field of design.
Content:
- demonstration of the Coil-Building technique for large sculptures
- constructions, building in sections, inside stabilization
- the ceramic surface - texture
- the ceramic surface - finish
2. Incorporating Geology and Wild clays into Big Sculpture by Živa Slavec
Ceramic artist Živa Slavec will host the workshop in her studio and add additional content to the workshop by introducing wild ceramic materials such as wild clays and geology into Big Sculpture. Her expertise is wood firing and wild ceramic materials.

Prices before (22%) tax.
Regular price: 750,00 eur per person.
Students price: 500,00 eur per person.
Included in price: 25kg of high quality stoneware sculpture clay SiO2
Golden section compass, handmade tool by Živa Slavec.
Electric firing of the sculptures to 1000°C.
Payment before start of the workshop.
Not included:
Woodfiring the sculptures. Price is 150eur per sculpture if you do not participate in firing.
Firing planned around 15th of June.
Woodfiring ceramic workshop price is 500 eur and you can also bring your own pieces made from high fire stoneware. Woodfiring temperature is up to 1300°C, chamber measures 75*150*115cm.
I take 4 students.
