The Lake County Historical Society, 415 Riverside Drive, Painesville Twp., Ohio, presents Big Boy Day as the Union Pacific Big Boy #4014 comes through Painesville. See the worlds largest Steam Engine as it crosses the Painesville trestle bridge and passes just North of the Historical Center on the Norfolk Southern tracks on June 8th, 2026 form 11:00 am to 5:30 pm.Guided tours of the Historical Center will be given at Noon, and 1:00 p.m. and at 2:00 pm a History of the Big Boy will be presented by Tom Pescha of the Painesville Railroad Museum.
For a small donation lunch menu includes the Big Boy Burgers, two all beef patties, cheese, shredded lettuce, and big boy sauce on three-piece sesame seed bun, HoBo beans, Hot Dogs, Chips, Pop and Water.
The fun begins on June 8th, 2026 form 11:00 am to 5:30 pm.
Estimated time of Big Boy passing by is 3:45 pm
