ABOUT THE ARTIST:

Bien-Aimé Alusa Baraza, also known as Bien, is aKenyan musician, vocalist, songwriter, guitarist, music executive, and entrepreneur. He is a member of the Afropop band Sauti Sol, and is the band's lead vocalist.

Bien has been releasing solo work, including:

• National Treasure: His debut single, released in 2021, a collaboration with Xenia Manasseh, Bensoul, and AfroNautiq
• Bald Men Love Better: His debut project, released in 2021, a collaboration with Kenyan jazz musician Aaron Rimbui
• Inauma: A single released by Bien
• My Baby: A single released by Bien, featuring Ayra Starr
• Too Easy: A single released by Bien, featuring DJ Edu

Sauti Sol was formed in Nairobi in 2005 as an a cappella group. The band's name is a combination of the Swahili word sauti (sound) and the Spanish word sol (sun), which translates to "voices in the sun". Their debut album, Mwanzo, was released in 2008 and was very popular. The band sings in Swahili, Luhya, Luo, and English.
