About this Event
The Unmasking Brain Injury Project is an international movement aimed at raising awareness about the hidden nature of brain injuries. The mission of Unmasking Brain Injury is to increase awareness about the prevalence of brain injuries, allowing survivors to share their experiences and educate others about living with a brain injury. The project also aims to show that individuals living with a disability due to their brain injury are no different from anyone else, and deserve dignity, respect, compassion, and the opportunity to demonstrate their value as members of their communities. Through the Unmasking Brain Injury Project, hundreds of people with brain injuries share their stories by creating masks that represent their personal journeys, making the invisible visible.
