This is a free community event as part of the 2026 Biamp Portland Jazz Festival.
GINA SAPUTO Terzetto presents her latest project daring and intimate take on the jazz trio, stripped down to its most expressive elements. Featuring Gina Saputo on vocals, Joe Bagg on organ and piano, and Tim Willcox on tenor sax, this unorthodox lineup explores the space where time bends, groove runs deep, and moments that only happen when three voices connect.

She had performed regularly with Jeff’s band for the past 13 years including Disney Hall, Blue Note Honolulu, Al Gore’s 24 Hours of Reality, various tours and touring throughout Europe. Tim Willcox — Tenor Saxophonist & Composer
Tim Willcox is a Portland-based tenor saxophonist, composer, and respected voice in the Pacific Northwest jazz community. Originally from Eugene, Oregon, he began playing saxophone at age eleven and quickly developed a passion for jazz. Willcox studied at William Paterson University in New Jersey, where he worked with jazz masters such as Kenny Burrell, Harold Mabern, Vic Juris, and Rufus Reid, and later cut his teeth in the vibrant New York jazz scene. Since returning to Oregon in the early 2000s, he has performed with many notable musicians including David Friesen, Randy Porter, Gary Versace, and Victor Noriega, while also recording extensively. Willcox has released multiple albums of original material and is known for his lyrical yet adventurous improvisational style, blending tradition with contemporary expression. His music reflects both deep roots in jazz history and a forward-looking creative spirit

Joe Bagg — Organ & Piano
Joe Bagg is an acclaimed jazz pianist and Hammond B-3 organist recognized on the West Coast and beyond for his tasteful touch, deep groove, and inventive harmonic sensibility. He studied with legendary pianist Kenny Barron at Rutgers University, earning a Master’s in Music before becoming a fixture on the Los Angeles jazz scene for over two decades. Since taking up the Hammond B-3 in 1997, Bagg has regularly appeared in DownBeat magazine’s Critics and Readers Polls and performed with an impressive roster of jazz luminaries, including Bobby Hutcherson, Bill Holman, Charles McPherson, and Madeleine Peyroux. He has also been featured on screen in films such as J. Edgar and Jersey Boys and toured internationally with Jeff Goldblum & The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra.
