Arrive as early as 5 pm to tour the facility and enjoy the amenities. It’s an incredible place! Always super interesting people to chat with before our sesh begins.
Moving forward, our opening movement class will begin at 6 sharp. Feel free to join, watch, or enjoy a few more minutes of lounge time. This month is another special local feature, celebrating the diversity right in our community. We are super stoked to learn intro to Bachata with Maria from Mexico City! She will probably make it look easy (as latin dancers do,) but she promises that she has a fun and easy flow for us to follow.
Opening circle will be a short introduction of names & continuing our tradition of saying one word of blessing to a plant gifted to someone in the community. This sesh will actually be my housewarming blessing! TY, friends!
Finally, we will move direct from circle to the floor as DJ Blist draws us into her specially curated soundtrack, designed to illicit an arc of emotional release. As the host, I will cue the opening of the dance on the floor and release you to the flow state for the next 75 minutes. SILENCE on the dance floor. NO CELL PHONES on the dance floor. But feel free to enjoy the amenities if you need a dance break. I will break the silence as we approach the last song, to assist everyone back to the floor for a downtempo shavasana.
To close, we will give a moment of silence for our beating hearts and our nervous systems to come into harmony before a short sound wash. This session will be percussion heavy in Latin celebration, think: tropical forest meets shoreline, shakers, ocean drum, chimes, and grounding gong.
After a short share, we invite you to enjoy the space as we pack up and exchange digits with any new friends! 💞

ARTIST BIO
Amanda Schmidt is a RYT 500 yoga teacher and ecstatic dance DJ who believes movement is medicine. Living part-time in Costa Rica, she discovered ecstatic dance and now hosts a silent disco series, playing events like Bliss Burn. She’s also the owner of Wild Flier boutique and helped form Gulf Coast Ecstatic Dance and Grayton Beach Ecstatic Dance, inspiring freedom, healing, and community through dance.
Beverly Kennedy, also known as Bodywork Bev and lead sound practitioner of Light Honey, is an embodiment of joyful personal practice as a centerfold to wellness and community. Through the advanced study of human anatomy and the energetic principles of physics, Beverly echos a huge ripple of presence wherever she goes. While she calls Destin, Florida home, her practice expands from coast to coast.
