What does the earth sound like when it speaks?
This World Environment Day, experience a powerful dance production that brings nature to life. Beeja The Earth Seed is Malavika Sarukkai’s exploration of our connection with the natural world — expressed through Bharatanatyam, supported by a compelling narration, immersive 360° sound, and extraordinary lighting design.
Moving through the perspectives of a tree, a deer, and a swan, the work draws us into a simple but urgent idea: our lives are deeply connected with the earth around us.
This is a production for everyone — especially children and young audiences. It’s an opportunity for families to experience classical dance in a way that is engaging, relatable, and thought-provoking.
Beeja has been presented at leading international venues, including the Kennedy Center, and now comes to Bangalore for a single, special evening.
Bringing together a galaxy of leading artistes across dance, music, narration, sound, and lighting, this is a richly layered production that goes far beyond a traditional recital.
