About this Event
Modern-day psychology continues to uphold and perpetuate power structures that have shaped society in the Global North. In this seminar, I will present a series of narratives that illustrate how a variety of facets of colonialism still influence contemporary psychological research, education, and practice. I will discuss the implications of these influences, before exploring ways in which we might work together to create a more inclusive and equitable discipline. I hope to encourage attendees to actively reflect on how they might promote and engage in the culture change required to transform our discipline.
