About this Event
Do you identify as Black, Indigenous, a person of color, or mixed race? Curious about cooperative living or already part of one?
Join Better Housing Colorado residents and alumni for our 4th annual BIPOC in CO-OP Social Mixer! This year, the event is open to anyone who identifies as BIPOC and is living, has lived, or is curious about co-op life.
Come enjoy food, drinks, creative activities, light games, and meaningful connection in a relaxed, welcoming space. It’s a chance to meet new friends, share stories, and celebrate community with people who understand the co-op experience.
What is cooperative housing?
Better Housing Colorardo is nonprofit that manages five permanently affordable cooperative houses in Boulder and Denver. Each house has 12-25 residents. Residents have their own bedrooms, but share all common space, pool money for food, divide up chores, and make decisions by consensus. Residents make up the majority of the seats on our nonprofit board, granting the renters rights comensurate with ownership. Learn more about our model and apply for free today at www.bhccoops.org
