Bhakti Life invites you for Narasimha Yajna at Bhakti Center (25 1st Avenue), May 10th, 6:00pm-9pm
About this Event

Please join us for a special Yajnotsavam (Narasimha Yajna) as we observe Akshaya Tritiya and Narasimha Chaturdashi. The word "akshaya" means imperishable and it is considered to be the most auspicious day to start a new venture. Whatever one does for Krsna on this day, the benefit is eternal and never lost. Akshaya Tritiya also marks many auspicious events like beginning of compilation of Mahabharata by Lord Ganesh, beginning of chariot building for yearly festival of Chariots at Jagannath Puri, birth of Lord Parusharam, River Ganga's decent to Earth etc.

On this day a special sandalwood festival is performed at holy Simhachalam, India, glorifying Lord Narasimha. Lord Narasimha is often revered as protector of devotees and remover of obstacles on the path to divine. Our event is an opportunity to come together, reconnect with this caring Lord and offer prayers that we, our loved ones, and everyone around the globe may be touched by Divine love and protection.

The evening will include kirtan, a short discourse on how Narasimha Dev offers protection, a yajna led by our temple priests where people can participate by purchasing tickets. The Yajna participants will receive a kit consisting of Narasimha Dev's blessings. Dinner will be served to everybody.
