About this Event
**THIS EVENT IS IN PERSON IN SYDNEY**
According to the World Health Organisation (WHO) there are 2.6 million deaths annually caused by medical error, with an average of 4 out of 10 deaths being related to diagnosis, prescription and use of medicines. Miscommunication isnโt just an inconvenience, itโs potentially a matter of life and death. So why is that doctors are infamous for bad handwriting?
Veteran physician Dr David Lim will discuss the value of visual thinking and handwriting in not only transforming communication, but as a way to create a more balanced relationship between clinicians and patients. If youโve ever had a visit to the doctor, this presentation is sure to help you understand the mindset of clinicians and the value of visuals in a place where miscommunication is a matter of life and death.
